We arrived tired from our drive and attempted to valet, the only problem was that there were only two valets for the holiday weekend, so my husband decided to drop me off at the front. There was no iron in the room, I waited over an hour and had to call twice in order to borrow one for one hour. It was degrees so I was sweating and expected to walk in to air conditioning, well it was cooler but not what you would expect for a hotel. Laughlin River Lodge. The only good thing about this hotel is the location. We called the hotel directly last minute and were offered a room in the 'older' Monterrey wing, or the "newer' Sedona wing. Great piped in music and very easy going bartenders with stories. The hotel registration desk is antiquated and the staff was rude. Our host Janella arranged for four comped nights for a buddy and for me. Our room was in the Sedona tower and we were updgraded to a river view room. Log in to get trip updates and message other travellers. We had our own rooms as we have sleeping issues. Our air conditioning unit if you want to call it that - it was more of a fan, vice cold air was dusty and so NOISY it prevented both of us from sleeping. The rooms are inexpensive but very old and outdated. When I was checking out the attendant asked if I removed everything from the room and I told her that I couldn't get out of there fast enough!!! They were adjoining and that was very convenient. Report response as inappropriate Thank you. I have stayed at the Aquarius and found it to be the best hotel in Laughlin and it has central air with in room thermostats!! View Hotel. At that time I asked if there were any rooms with a central air system and was told that "none of the hotels in Laughlin have a central air with in room thermostats". Barbara is my assigned host and is very friendly and thoughtful. I can't wait to call Janella for another stay. The only redeeming factor was that it drowned out the noise coming from the family next door and the incessant noise of people running up and down the hallway in addition to every person in sight apparently using the hotel ice maker for refilling their personal coolers. I would not stay here again when right next door there is a hotel with renovated rooms. The shower floor was rotted and bowed in the center. We search up to sites for the lowest prices.
